Hollow Brook Cottage is a beautifully appointed two bedroom cottage just for grown-ups, combining comfort, charm, and style. Recently described as “cosy, comfortable, spacious, with all the mod cons,” it’s the perfect base after exploring historic villages, National Trust properties, and scenic walks.

Step inside and you’ll find a beautifully spacious open plan living area. A fully equipped kitchen, welcoming dining space, and comfortable seating gather around a charming log-burning fire, while the green fields, rustling trees, and shifting skies of the Peak District pour in through every window.

Upstairs, a light-filled bedroom with a super king-size bed offers restful sleep and beautiful views across fields.  While the downstairs en-suite bedroom provides flexibility for sharing or a truly peaceful night’s rest.

The cottage features two elegant en suite bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower designed for comfort and ease. The upstairs bathroom is especially spacious, with a luxurious free-standing bath where you can soak and unwind, while both spaces are thoughtfully finished to create a calm, refreshing retreat after a day exploring the Peaks.

Outside, there’s room to truly breathe. The private patio area is a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast as the sun rises, listen to birdsong throughout the day, or sip something warm as evening settles over the trees. The private hot tub allows you to stargaze and watch the stunning moon.

Hollow Brook Cottage has its own private patio area where you can sit out and enjoy the fresh Peak District air, whether that’s a quiet morning coffee or a relaxed evening after a day exploring. The cottage also has its own hot tub, offering a peaceful place to unwind while taking in the surrounding countryside.

Guests staying at Hollow Brook are also welcome to wander into Top Riley Meadow, our private twelve acres of fields and woodland. Gentle paths lead you through the landscape where you can take a quiet walk, watch the wildlife, or simply sit for a while and enjoy the space and views.

The kitchen at Hollow Brook Cottage is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and dine comfortably during your stay. There is a large separate fridge and freezer, plenty of cupboard space, and all the cookware, utensils and tableware you would need to prepare a relaxed three-course dinner if you feel like staying in for the evening. We also provide; cooking oil, salt, pepper, kitchen roll, tinfoil, clingfilm, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and cloth, tea towels, tea, coffee, sugar, small milk.

The jets run on a timed cycle and will automatically switch off after around 20 minutes, you can simply turn them back on again if you’d like to continue using them.

We provide towels and plastic glasses for use in and around the hot tub, and we ask that no glassware is taken into the area for safety.

Full guidance is provided in the cottage, but if you have any questions during your stay, we’re always nearby and happy to help.

 
 

Hollow Brook Cottage is designed to feel warm, comfortable and well-equipped throughout your stay. There is central heating and a cosy log fire, with a basket of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches provided so you can settle in straight away.

Inside, you’ll find a smart TV where you can log into your own streaming accounts, along with a selection of board games, books and jigsaws for relaxed evenings in. For the hot tub, we also provide dedicated towels and plastic glasses so you can fully unwind and enjoy the experience.

There are two bathrooms in Hollow Brook Cottage. The upstairs bathroom has a beautiful large bath, shower, toilet, sink with lighted mirror. We provide towels, hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, bath mat. In the downstairs bathroom we provide the same accessories but it is a shower only, with toilet, sink and lighted mirror.

There is space for one car very close to the cottage door, with an overflow carpark as you drive into Top Riley.

Eyam Museum

Eyam Museum aims to open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 with last admission at 15:15. The museum closes at 16:00. It is advisable to pre book tickets on the website. The museum will give you a real insight into the history of Eyam and the details of the plague through detailed local accounts of how it spread, who died and who survived.
